Come and Clay

Wednesday May 20 - June 17, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm

This five-week, handbuilding class invites you to bring a project you have wanted to create or complete but not yet had a chance to do. This could be a coiling idea, or a slab project. You may have wanted to make a large bowl, a birdbath, a lantern or something else. Together we will look at what's involved and give your vision life.

We will be building from scratch and I will provide you with the necessary tools and suggestions to make this happen.

The class runs May 20, 27 and June 3, 10 & 17

During the four weeks of building we will dive into hand building, using primarily the slab and coil methods. Throughout this process, you will learn more about the amazing properties of clay, and together we will look at some of its properties and some of its limitations. 

The first four classes will focus on designing and finishing our projects The last class will be a glazing class. 

Please note! The firing of your pieces may need to happen one week later than scheduled depending on size, dryness and readiness for the kiln.
